And to demonstrate how great spices can transform a plane meal, Robertsons saw an opportunity to surprise people with a fine dining menu on a low-cost airline known for bringing the fun to flying … but not their menu. After 18 months of planning, fitting planes with ovens, testing cooking times and obsessing about flavours, the time was right to take fine dining to the new heights. It was so successful four other flights were booked in response to Kulula customer requests.
